Remote Radio Control – Line of Sight
This is the simplest configuration. It consists of a remote control transmitter (TC5) held by the operator and the Machine Unit receiver installed on the equipment under control. Also permanently installed on the equipment is a special identification device called VID – Vehicle Identification Device. The principal limitation of this configuration is that the operator needs to maintain constant visual contact with the machine. Hence the range of operation is limited by the sight distance, and this in turn limits the operator’s safety and comfort.
