Toyota Control Room

A Toyota Land Cruiser is used to house the equipment and provide 12v power..

As shown below, a single, inexpensive coax. cable C1 connects TCM-1G to the first Super-Amplifier (Amp-1) which is usually about 100m away. Another 100m of the same coax. connects Amp-1 to Amp-2 with another 100m between Amp-2 and Amp-3 and so on up to the maximum limit of six Amps. Six Super-Amps will provide a tramming distance through the tunnels of about 700m. The single line of coax cables that feeds power from the 12v battery in the Toyota to all of the Amps in the tunnels also carries commands which identify and select the appropriate Amp. The same coax must also carry the radio-control commands from the Control-Chair to the selected Amp. Going in the opposite direction, the same single line of coax cables carries radio control feedback data plus two channels of video from the selected Amp back to the TCM-1G.
