Proximity Detection Device (PDD)
The PDD carried by the miner is very small, weighs only
0.43lb (0.19kg). The electronic circuit board
inside the PDD measures the strength of the magnetic field
generated by the MF4 Antennas and sends this information to the approaching vehicle.

Dimensions: 108mm x 104mm x 37mm
4.18 x 4.5" x 1.43"
Weight: 0.19kg 0.43 lbs

The
PDD’s built-in radio transceiver sends the calculated data to the
Buddy Unit on the vehicle. It’s the Buddy Unit that uses the data
to decide when it’s time to generate a warning and then (if required) to shut down
the vehicle.

This
photograph shows how small the PDD is. The PDD slides directly onto the miner’s belt, no fiddling
around with tiny straps and small buckles.

not include the Buddy system. Therefore the Charger is available in
different models. The individual, single charger is shown. Rack
