THUMB CONTROLLER

Operators love this tiny, light, rugged, water-resistant unit which has all the features of a 140SSF unit. Because the portable is so small the operator uses his thumbs to control the joysticks which is why this unit is called a "Thumb Controller". The advantages of this system are listed below:

ADVANTAGES

Because the Thumb Controller is very light (450g or 1.2 lbs) it only needs a neckstrap instead of a shoulder harness. This powerful system can control machines with up to 32 proportional and 25 on/off (digital) functions. A fully charged Thumb Controller can operate for more than 32 hours before it needs recharging. Each Thumb Controller has only one circuit board with two small connectors making it quick and easy to service at the mine.

A PLEASANT SURPRISE

For those customers who have a lot of experience with Radio Control Systems this new  Nautilus system is going to come as a very pleasant surprise. The Remote Vehicle Unit (RVU) that controls the whole machine is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand

3 SECOND INSTALLATION

Installation of the RVU on the machine takes a few seconds. Note the powerful magnet bolted to the bottom of the RVU. This allows the RVU to be quickly attached to any steel surface. If you change your mind you can easily move it somewhere else just as quickly.

SIMPLE RVU WIRING

There is the usual coaxial cable for the radio antenna plus two other cables. The thinner cable has only two wires which control all of the functions on the Mining loader or bulldozer. The other cable has four wires two of which carry +24V and 0V (ground) into the RVU. The remaining two wires feed +24V safety signals to the machine.
